There are 4 steps required to complete the offline installation onboard a vessel, please read the steps below to ensure you understand the process.
Step 1 - Offline Installation Service Order
The Vessel or Management Company must send a request for offline installation to email@example.com
A ticket will be created in our support system and all further communication will take place via the support ticket.
Manage My Vessel (MMV) will then email a 'Service Order' to be electronically signed by the Management Company or the Vessel agreeing to the Payment and terms of the Offline Installation.
Once the Service Order is completed electronically MMV would proceed to STEP 2
Step 2 - Offline Installation Request Form
An electronic 'Offline Installation Request' form will be emailed to the Vessel AVIT or responsible person onboard for completion. This form will ensure that the Vessel understands the offline installation requirements and process.
Once the form is completed electronically MMV would proceed to STEP 3.
Step 3 – Offline Installation Sandbox
An electronic 'Offline Installation Sandbox Instruction' form will be emailed to the AVIT or responsible person onboard for completion. This form will contain the link for the download of the Offline Files and required verification that the files have been successfully installed onto the Vessels Server by the AVIT or responsible person onboard.
Upon the form is completed the support ticket will be updated with a link allowing the Responsible Person onboard the Vessel to pick a time for MMV to complete the Offline Installation.
Manage My Vessel will then remotely login to the Vessels Server , via Log Me In, and install the sandbox packages.
Once the Installation is completed MMV would proceed to STEP 4.
Step 4 – Offline Installation Completion Certificate
A final Document 'Offline Installation Completion Certificate' will be added to the support ticket which will provide information regarding the vessels access to the Offline Client. This document should be saved by the Vessel and/or Management Company as it will detail important information about the offline installation.
MMV will then close the ticket after successful installation.
