There are 4 steps required to complete the offline installation onboard a vessel, please read the steps below to ensure you understand the process.
Step 1 - Offline Installation Request
The Management company of the vessel will email support@managemyvessel.com requesting an offline installation and advising who will be responsible for the offline installation fee’s, the Vessel or the Management Company, along with the person onboard who will be the main point of contact for the installation.
Manage My Vessel will then send a service order for the offline installation fee, to be signed by the entity responsible for payment.
If a vessel contacts Manage My Vessel directly we will advise them to contact their Management Company in the first instance and then await direction from the Management Company as described above.
Step 2 - Offline Installation Information
Once the service order has been signed Manage My Vessel will send an installation document that needs to be completed and signed by the main point of contact onboard, along with the belarc report which is explained in the installation document.
Step 3 –Sandbox
Upon receipt of the installation document Manage My Vessel will prepare the installation files and then email the main point of contact onboard a link to download them.
If we identify that the server/PC does not meet our minimum requirements installation files will not be provided until the server is modified to meet our specifications.
The installation files shall be downloaded to either the root of C: drive or to the desktop of the user, detailed in the installation document.
Once the installation files have been downloaded the main point of contact shall email support@managemyvessel.com and we will then provide a link to book an installation of the system.
The offline installation file that will only be valid for 14 days and must be downloaded within its validity. The first installation file will be free, and requesting a new one will have a corresponding fee of $200.00 per request.
Step 4 – Offline Installation Completion
Once the program is installed and operational Manage My Vessel will email the main point of contact and Management Company to advise them of the completion and to provide all information to be able to login to the offline portal.
