Managing Dual Roles for Safe Manning

Click the Modules icon and select Safe Manning.

Go to Administration menu and select Safe Manning Activation.

They allow one crew member to fulfill multiple capacities onboard.

Example:

• A crew member may serve as both a GMDSS Operator and another capacity.
• A crew member may fulfill both deck and engine roles simultaneously.

Select a vessel and click add new safe manning capacities or edit an existing one.

Example: Edit the GMDSS Operator by clicking the Edit icon.

Check the box for Dual Role option.

Select a capacity that can fulfill the GMDSS role alongside their primary role then click Submit.
