The MMV Offline System allows vessels to operate efficiently even without an active internet connection by syncing data once connectivity is restored. To ensure the system continues functioning properly, it’s important to monitor synchronization activity regularly.
If a vessel remains unsynced for six (6) months, the offline system will automatically lose its ability to sync with the main platform.
This is a built-in security and performance measure to ensure that outdated data does not affect system accuracy.
We strongly recommend that management companies configure offline sync alerts.
These alerts will automatically notify you if a vessel has not synced within a specified number of days.
Doing so helps ensure that data remains accurate and up to date, and allows you to take corrective action before a vessel becomes unsynced for an extended period.
For guidance, please refer to Check Offline Sync and Set up Alerts
When this happens, the offline system will need to be completely reinstalled on the vessel’s computer.
Please note that the reinstallation process is subject to a reinstallation fee of $500.
For additional details regarding the reinstallation fee, please see the article Offline Re-Installation Costs
To avoid losing sync capability, we recommend the following:
Regularly check the Offline Sync and History Settings for each vessel.
Configure automatic sync alerts and assign responsible users to monitor notifications.
Ensure the vessel’s computer has stable connectivity during scheduled sync times.
Contact the MMV Support Team immediately if you notice that a vessel has not synced for an extended period.
