Offline Access for a Vessel

Request an Offline Installation

Fleet account access: Offline access is coordinated between the vessel's Fleet administrator (yacht management company) and MMV support. The installation itself is performed remotely by MMV once the vessel's server meets the minimum requirements. Offline access is a Fleet-level feature — Sub-Account, Crew, and Payroll users do not manage it.

To start an offline installation for a vessel, download the Vessel IT Install Packet below and send it to whoever will do the install onboard (usually the vessel's AVIT or engineer). Then email MMV to kick off the process — we'll send the Installation Request form electronically via PandaDoc when it's time.

Vessel IT Install Packet (PDF) — for the person doing the install

This is a single self-contained PDF with everything the onboard AVIT or engineer needs. They don't need an MMV account to read it — you can email or share it directly. It covers:

  • What an offline installation is and how it works
  • Minimum hardware and OS requirements
  • How to run the Belarc report
  • How to install LogMeIn
  • How to verify ASP.NET version on the server
  • The 4-step install process
  • Contacts and next steps

The Installation Request form — sent to you via PandaDoc

You don't download the Installation Request form directly. Once MMV receives your request (see below), we send a service order via QuickBooks and, once it's approved, we send the Installation Request form to the vessel point of contact via PandaDoc for electronic signature.

The form has four sections that go back and forth between the vessel and MMV during the install:

  • Section A — completed by the vessel: vessel and management company name, confirmation the install process has been read, Belarc report attached, minimum requirements confirmed.
  • Section B — completed by MMV: server verification, sandbox expiration date, sandbox installation URL.
  • Section C — completed by the vessel: LogMeIn installed and operational, sandbox downloaded, administrator login sent to MMV, location and internet details, any other info.
  • Section D — completed by MMV: install completion confirmation, sync shortcuts placed, server name / IP, Active Directory info, URL for offline access, username for auto sync.

What to do next

  1. Send the Install Packet PDF to your vessel's AVIT / engineer so they can prepare the server.
  2. Email support@managemyvessel.com to request the offline install. Include:
    • The vessel name and management company name
    • Who is paying (vessel or management company)
    • The vessel point of contact (POC)
  3. MMV sends the service order via QuickBooks. Once approved, we send the Installation Request form via PandaDoc and the process moves forward as described in Offline Access — Overview.

Common questions

Can the onboard AVIT read the Install Packet without an MMV login?

Yes. The PDF is a standalone document — no MMV account or login required. Email it directly to whoever will do the install.

How do we get the Installation Request form?

You don't download it. Once we receive your install request and the service order is approved via QuickBooks, we send the form electronically to the vessel point of contact via PandaDoc for signature.

Does the Install Packet include the Installation Request Form inside it?

The Install Packet describes the four sections of the form so the AVIT knows what info will be collected. The form itself is sent separately via PandaDoc.
