Offline Access for a Vessel

Remote Access via LogMeIn

Fleet account access: Offline access is coordinated between the vessel's Fleet administrator (yacht management company) and MMV support. The installation itself is performed remotely by MMV once the vessel's server meets the minimum requirements. Offline access is a Fleet-level feature — Sub-Account, Crew, and Payroll users do not manage it.

MMV uses LogMeIn to remotely install, update, and support the offline client onboard a vessel. LogMeIn must be installed on the vessel's dedicated server and remain installed at all times.

How to install LogMeIn

  1. On the vessel's dedicated server, download the LogMeIn client from download.managemyvessel.com/LogMeIn.msi.
  2. Once downloaded, run the installer.
  3. You do not need to enter a username or password — this MMV-provided version of LogMeIn is preconfigured.

Ongoing support access

From time to time MMV will need to access the server for general support and occasional updates. When requested, the vessel must ensure LogMeIn is running within a reasonable and agreed timeframe so MMV can carry out the work.

Don't uninstall LogMeIn. It must remain installed even after the initial install is complete. Uninstalling it will block MMV from providing support and may put your offline installation out of scope for our support agreement.

Common questions

Do we have to grant MMV remote access every time we need support?

You already grant perpetual permission when you agree to the offline install — LogMeIn stays installed. What you need to do at request time is confirm LogMeIn is running and reachable, and MMV will connect.

Can we use a different remote-access tool instead of LogMeIn?

No. MMV only supports LogMeIn for offline-installation remote access. This ensures consistent, secure access across our fleet of offline installs.
