A User Role Profile is a predefined access configuration that groups together the roles and/or permissions needed for a particular type of user. It provides a standardized way of assigning access instead of configuring permissions individually for every user.

A role profile can be used when multiple users need the same or similar access.

  1. Click on the Administration menu then select User Role Profiles.
  2. In the top right corner, click the three dots and select New Profile.
  3. Enter a Profile Title then click Submit.

Note: This user profile will have vessel-level access only.

Configure Profile Settings:

Once you have successfully created the user role, you will be directed to a screen where you can manually complete the setup.

OPTION A: Duplicate User Profile

Creates a new user profile by copying the information and settings from an existing user profile. This allows you to quickly create a similar user without entering all the details from scratch.

  1. Click the three dots and select Create Duplicate.
  2. Enter a new Title.

Check Create as a profile if you want this to be a user role profile, the click Submit.

OPTION B: Copy Settings from another User Role

Allows you to duplicate the permissions, access levels, and configuration settings of an existing user role and apply them to another user role. This is useful for quickly creating a new role with similar access without configuring every setting manually.

  3. Click the three dots and select Copy Settings from Another User Role.
  4. Choose the role to copy from then click Submit.

OPTION C: Link a User Role to the Profile

Connects a user role to a specific user profile, assigning that user the permissions and access defined by the selected role.

  5. Under the User Roles tab: Click Link Additional User Roles in the top-right corner.
  6. You can also create a new one by selecting New User Role.
