Create Fleet User Role

Permission-based access: What you can see and do in MMV depends on how your management company has set up your account. If a feature described here isn't visible in your account, ask your admin.

Fleet User is generally a person who has access to the system to view or manage information for one or more yachts within a fleet, rather than having full administrative control over the entire software platform.

  1. Go to the Administration menu, then select User Roles.
  2. Click on Fleet Account folder.
  3. Click the three dots in the top-right corner and select New User Role.
  4. Enter a Title for the role.
    • Choose whether the role will have full administrative permissions.
    • Set account access level, once done click Submit

    Once you have successfully created the user role, you will be directed to a screen where you can manually complete the setup.

    Configure Role Settings:**

    Option A: Copy Settings from another User Role

  5. From the top right corner, click three dots and select Copy Settings from Another User Role.

    Creates or configures a user role by copying the permissions and settings from an existing role, which can then be modified as needed.

    Option B: Link to a User Profile

  6. Select Link User Role to Profile

    Connects a user role to a specific user/person, determining which role and associated permissions that user receives.

Permissions Setup

  1. Go to the Permissions tab then click Edit Permissions.

Vessel Mandatory Documents

  1. Go to the Vessel Mandatory Document Permissions and Triggers tab.
  2. Click the Edit icon next to a document to edit the permissions.

Crew Mandatory Documents

Setup is the same as Vessel Mandatory Documents.

Form Templates

  1. Go to the Form Template Permissions and Triggers tab.
  2. Click the Edit icon next to a form to edit the permissions.

    Note: Some forms have Closed Form Permission (no edits allowed after submission).

Manuals

  1. Go to the Manual Template Permissions and Triggers tab.
  2. Click the Edit icon next to a manual to edit the permissions.

Triggers & Automations

  1. Under Triggers and Automations column.
  2. Click each item to update whether the user role should receive notifications for documents, forms, and other modules.
  3. Click the Three Dots and select Edit.
  4. Click again the Edit icon to add the user role for this notification.

    Trip Permissions & Triggers -- control trip-related access and notifications.

    Equipment Folder Permissions -- allow read/edit/delete/manage access to folders.

    Tasks Due Alert -- view active tasks and set up task alerts.

    Offline Sync Alerts -- add user role to sync alerts for offline use.

    Crew Alerts -- notify role of changes in crew positions.

    Hours of Rest Alerts -- notify if hours of rest are:

    • Overdue
    • Incomplete
    • Not signed by crew or authorized personnel

    Crew Planner Alerts -- notify when crew status changes.
