MMV records your daily working hours and calculates rest periods against ILO Convention No. 180 and MLC 2006 (in accordance with STCW 1978, as amended). Any period that violates the rest rules is flagged as a non-conformity and you must add a comment explaining why.
The Hours of Rest rules are configured by your Management Company. The requirements and validations you see will depend on the settings they have applied to your vessel.

Common questions
What does non-conformity mean?
Your entered hours violate a rest rule (e.g. less than 6 hours continuous rest in 24 hours). MMV flags the day in red and requires you to add a comment explaining why.
Can I go back and change hours after I've submitted?
Yes, until the monthly report is generated and signed. Click Edit to modify entries. After signing, changes require the vessel's authorized person to reopen the record.
Who signs my report after me?
The master (Captain) or another authorized person on the vessel endorses the report. This is typically the Captain, Chief Officer, or Purser depending on the fleet's setup.
Do I have to use templates?
No, but they save time if your working pattern is roughly consistent. You can still edit individual days after applying a template.
