Create User Role

Permission-based access: What you can see and do in MMV depends on your assigned permissions. If a feature described here isn't visible in your account, ask your Administrator.

A user role defines the access permissions and alerts that a user has in the system.

Create a User Role

  1. On the blue ribbon, select Administration then User Roles.
  1. In the top right corner, click the three dots and select New User Role.
  1. Enter the title of the user role.

If you want the role to have full permissions, check the Full Permission box.

  1. You will then need to choose whether this user role should be assigned to All Accounts or only to specific managed account(s) associated with this user role.

Once done, click Submit.

Configure Permissions (Uncheck Full Permissions)

After following the instructions above, you will be directed to the following screen, where you will need to configure the permissions for this user.

  1. Go to the Permissions tab.

Click Edit Permissions in the top right corner.

  1. You can now review the permissions and check or uncheck the appropriate options to determine whether the user role should have permission to view or make changes to the Payroll Status.

Duplicating User Role

Creates a new user role based on an existing role, copying its settings and permissions.

  1. Go to the Properties tab.
  2. Click the three dots and select Create Duplicate.

Copy Settings from another User Role:

Allows you to copy the settings and permissions from another existing role into the user role you are currently configuring.

  1. Go to the Properties tab.
  2. Click the three dots and select Copy Settings from another User Role.
