What's new in Version 2018.4.28.0?
- Modified the alerts page into tiles.
- Added Security Officer and Safety Officer fields to the crew record.
Forms and Checklists
- Replaced the form alerts with Triggers and Automation.
- Added the ability to create a custom view in the inventories folder view.
- Added a new field to the vessel record: "Class Notation".
Despite the relatively few new items, shown above, this release has taken a significant amount of time to plan and execute. The main modification, Triggers & Automations, required extensive updating to the back end system to ensure you have an easy to use alert builder that allows you to create alerts to your exact specification.
We at MMV are very happy with the results and, subject to feedback over the coming weeks, hope to start bringing this form of alerting to the entire system module by module.
We have also implemented Custom views in the inventory display. This function will allow you to create a view that will just show you inventory items that are at, or below, the minimum required onboard, along with any other views you may need. This is something that we have wanted to implement for a while, and feel it will be a great help to the PMS users of our system.
Finally we have implemented a way to define a Security Officer and Safety Officer onboard. If a crew profile is given this then an icon will appear on the Active Crew List for you to easily follow both who the Safety Officer and Security Officer are, but also whether they are onboard or not.
We have written some help guides for the new features and have provided links below:
